But we can’t do that without you. As our Staff Software Engineer, you will apply your craft to help us transform how we care for one another by relieving the stress and anxiety felt by caregivers. What You’ve Achieved 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a full-time software engineer. 
  • Proven experience in full-stack development. Our team uses Node, TypeScript, Loopback, Flutter, and Angular. 
  • Proficiency in at least 2 modern programming languages (TypeScript, Python, Go, etc.) 
  • Strong experience in developing cloud-based solutions, with expertise in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.). 
  • Experience building distributed systems with both relational and NoSQL databases 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Experience working on a remote team in an agile environment. 
  • You exhibit an unwavering desire to jump in and help others without hesitation 
  • You have a willingness to pivot when needed and embrace change 

Your Impact at the Loop 

  • You will build easy-to-use and beautiful software for our members. 
  • You will actively participate in the design, development, and maintenance of applications, contributing to the full lifecycle of an application. Lead by example in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code. 
  • Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements, user needs, and project goals. Translate these requirements into actionable technical specifications and project plans. 
  • Lead architectural discussions, making well-informed decisions on software design patterns, technology stack, and development approaches. 
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team with members of the product, design, and QA organizations. 
  • Helping others level up their skills through mentoring and coaching. AbilityAble to step in as a technical team lead when asked. 
  • Maintain a high level of quality in software through automated testing, documentation, observability, and reliability in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Cariloop is a fully remote organization based in the United States. We accept applications from any state; however, we encourage and foster a workplace of community. Currently, most of our Loopers are based in Texas, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, and Massachusetts where we periodically host local lunch n' learns, happy hours, team dinners, etc. This condition is subject to change and will be reviewed periodically.
